Located in the fashionable area of Bloubergstrand the villa is ideally situated for
exploring the Cape yet is only a few minutes stroll to the famous beach with probably
one of the best views in the world across the bay to Table Mountain.
The beach is a protected area of outstanding beauty, hosting miles of indigenous
fynbos, the Cape’s uniquely diverse flora and home to a range of bird and animal
life. The beach is a favourite haunt of windsurfers, kite surfers and all those
who seek kicks on the waves, although the sheer joy of visiting this beach remains
its miles of deserted sand.
Restaurants: Blouberg is home to exceptional eateries all within walking distance
as well as the world renowned Blue Peter with its spectacular sundowners. A 5 minute
drive to Table View opens up another variety of very good restaurants, while the
V&A Waterfront is less than 30 minutes away.
Shops: Woolworths (SA’s Marks and Spencer food), Checkers (Tesco equivalent) , and
a variety of local shops are within walking distance. A large shopping mall is within
5 minutes drive at Table View.
Golf: The Atlantic Beach Golf Club is a 5 minute drive north. The qualifiers for
the European Open were held at this course. It is spread along the coast and is set
within a secure residential estate. There are numerous other good golf courses all
around including Pearl Valley - home of the South African Open.
Cape Town: Cape Town and the V&A Waterfront are less than 30 minutes drive.
Wine Region: Durbanville is very close and is home to some very good wines. The
more famous Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are about 45 minutes away.
